DESCRIPTION:
When the first Canadian place, headquarters of the Bank of Montreal, was built in 1975 it was clad entirely in carrara marble. The BMO coffee table is made from the 1-3/8 thick marble slabs reclaimed from that building after it was reclad in glass in 2010.

DESCRIPTION:
Truncheon is a series consisting of a suspended tube light, an articulated task lamp and a freestanding tube that rests against a wall. The wooden fixture is custom CNC milled, creating a delicate scallop-edged ring effect on the surface. In this way, the substantial presence of the solid wood form is offset by the skillfully carved surface. Avoiding unnecessary knobs or switches, the Truncheon adheres to its namesake, a simple compact stick form fashioned out of traditional materials and shaped by advanced digital technology. Resisting the demand to convert to compact fluorescent bulbs, Zoe Coombes and David Boira—the duo behind Commonwealth—chose to incorporate energy-saving LED bulbs into the end design. The cool light of the bulb is warmed by the wooden enclosure.

DESCRIPTION:
SHY Light takes its name from the initials of the designer’s grandmother. The form, inspired by crystalline structures, is achieved using a series of modular hardware. SHY Light can be hung from any of its hubs allowing for a multitude of orientations for each single fixture. In terms of size and configuration, the possibilities for this modular lighting system are unlimited. Custom inquiries welcome.
